Mother and Baby

Embracing Your Journey: Finding Strength in Childlessness (however you got here)

Whether you identify as childless, childless not by choice, childless by circumstance, involuntary childlessness, or impacted by infertility, the emotions can be overwhelming.  If you’ve found yourself here, then chances are you’re feeling alone, angry, scared, and deeply saddened by the absence of motherhood.

Reaching the end of your fertility journey is incredibly tough. The pain and confusion can feel all-encompassing and you may worry that you’ll always feel this loss. But I want you to know that you won’t always feel this way.

There is no rush to let go of your grief or move forward until you’re ready. Healing is deeply personal and happens at your own pace. Letting go creates space and in that space can be uncertainty - and that feels scary.  Our coaching sessions will meet you where you are, offering you the time and space you need to process your emotions and make peace with your journey.

Alongside the grief, there can be growth and self-discovery. My goal is to support you through this healing process and help you create a fulfilling life, even if it’s different from the one you envisioned.

Having walked this path myself, I am passionate about working with women navigating childlessness. If you’re coming to the end of your fertility journey and struggling to imagine life without the baby you’ve dreamed of, coaching can help you process these difficult emotions and rediscover hope.

You do not have to figure this out on your own. There is a way through and I’m here to support you every step of the way. With the right support it’s possible to move forward with grace, feeling confident in your next steps.

Mommy and Baby by the Beach

A bit about my experience with infertility and being childless not by choice

When I began my fertility journey, I never imagined I wouldn’t get the baby I’d always dreamed of. But despite my hope and determination, things didn’t go as planned. My worst fear came true.

To say it was challenging is an understatement.  My struggle with infertility took me to some of the lowest points in my life. I felt disheartened, alone and broken, believing that it was somehow my fault.

My husband and I tried to conceive for nearly eight years and I know firsthand the emotional rollercoaster that comes with it. I desperately wanted a baby and would have done just about anything to have one.

The quest to have a baby consumed me.  It impacted my relationships, my career, and my self-esteem. The joy I once had slowly slipped away. For a long time, I didn’t know how to handle the overwhelming emotions that accompanied infertility. I tried to ‘stay positive’ and put on a brave face, but inside I felt completely miserable and alone.

Now, having come through to the other side, I’m grateful for what I learned, because through it all, I found peace and acceptance, despite not having children. It’s been life-changing for me. I feel stronger, wiser, and excited about what the future holds.

My own journey has fuelled my passion to work with and support other women navigating infertility and childlessness. My experience challenged me like nothing else but I now know you don’t have to wait until you have a baby to be happy. There is a way through the pain, and I’m here to help you find it.

It brings me joy to uplift and support you, help you gain new perspectives, and to be a light when you need it most. ❤️❤️❤️

I finally found closure and am now at peace with not having a second child. From the coaching I realised that I hadn’t allowed myself the time to heal properly and to cope I just tried to “move on” and sweep my feelings and emotions under the carpet in hope they wouldn’t resurface. Through the coaching process I came to the realisation that there was so many layers of grieve, anxiety, pain, hurt etc that I needed to work through before being able to obtain closure. I could not have achieved this on my own.

I found Kathryn online after having a hard time finding any fertility therapist covered by my insurance. I appreciated that she has come through "on the other side" and does not call her life coaching "infertility coaching" but "fertility potentials". It speaks so much to her approach. In just one call a switch had been flipped for me. She had held out her hand for me to climb out of the ditch I had fallen in and have started walking a much happier path since. I had been struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression, hopelessness and being a failure from having not conceiving after almost 2 years. It felt like the world was crumbling when thoughts came in that I might not ever be able to get pregnant and have a child. I wanted to feel newfound hope but also an acceptance and peace in the possibility of not conceiving my own children. Kathryn has such wonderful insights that really helped me to see the beauty in my life and feel more embodied and capable as a woman all kinds of ways. She asks such poignant questions that helped lead me through my own process of self acceptance and honestly I feel more capable and happy as a human being and a woman than I ever had before. I am now enjoying my fertility journey and have a huge weight lifted and pressure taken off of myself. I also realized how much pressure I was putting on my husband and since have been able to let go of counterproductive approaches and thought patterns and feel more fertile and relaxed than I ever had about this process. I'm now actually grateful that my fertility challenges have been as they are to lead me to take this time to serve my own growth. I feel more capable of becoming a wonderful mother and understanding how to better nurture myself and my family. I cannot recommend her enough to help heal your heart of the pain of having a hard time to bring a child into your life and you can find happiness and peace in the process!

  • How long do they take to work?
Healing is always individual so it will vary from person to person. Sometimes a remedy will work immediately and other times the effects will gently unfold over days or weeks.
  • Can I feel worse when I take the remedy?
Occasionally. The remedies work to rebalance and harmonise so blocked or buried emotions may come to the surface to be cleared.
  • Can I get a remedy for multiple issues?
Yes. Your remedy will often address more than one concern, helping to support your overall emotional well-being.
  • What's in a blend?
Your bespoke blend will typically contain a combination of 5-7 remedies selected for you and your specific needs, filled with pure water. Sometimes a small amount of alcohol (5mls) may be added to preserve the remedy.
  • Why do people get different blends for the same problem?
Bach flower remedies work on the underlying cause of an issue which can differ from person to person and may change over time.
  • How do I take it?
The remedy is easy to take. It comes blended with pure water in a small bottle. You simply take four drops, four times a day until it is gone, placing the drops on or under your tongue and allowing them to absorb.
  • Are they safe to use?
Bach Flower remedies are safe to use. They are 100% pure with nothing in them that will cause a negative reaction. There are no side effects and can be taken alongside any medication or herbs. They are safe for children, animals, and during pregnancy. I’ve seen many clients benefit from these remedies without any adverse effects and I am committed to your safety and well-being.
  • What happens if I take the wrong remedy?
If you take a remedy that isn’t suited for you, it simply won’t have any effect. There’s no risk in taking a remedy that’s not for your specific needs.
  • Are sessions in person or online?
You can choose whichever suits you best! We can meet online via Zoom, allowing you to connect from the comfort of your home. If you're in Wellington, you’re welcome to see me in person in Brooklyn or The Terrace in the CBD (Thursday mornings).
  • How much does a Bach Flower session cost?
Sessions are (NZD) $150 for a 60-minute session, which includes a bespoke Bach flower remedy. Alternatively, you can opt for a package of three sessions for (NZD) $410. If you live outside of NZ postage and packaging will be added on.
