What is coaching and what can I expect?

Coaching is a collaborative process focussed on helping you experience life the way you want to experience it. Coaching facilitates self-discovery, personal growth and learning so you can regain balance and positivity in all aspects of your life. It's a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires you to open to new possibilities and maximise your potential. Coaching honours you as the expert in your life and believes every person is resourceful, capable and whole. You’re guided to connect with your truth and wisdom so you can live fully.

What is your style of coaching?

I use a range of approaches tailored to your needs: Person-centred approach focussed on talk therapy, observant listening, and holding space for you so you find release, clarity, and feel heard and supported Solution-focussed approach to help you reach your goals Mindfulness-based approach focussed on being present and aware of thoughts and feelings so you can choose new ways to respond. It helps manage strong emotions safely and positively Hypnotherapy as a tool for change The Emotions Code to identify and clear blocked emotions Bach Flower remedies to balance emotions I work within a holistic framework and believe our own inner guidance is the wisest. I provide the guidance and tools to allow you to explore what you need.

How long does the coaching process take?

This is individual and it depends on a number of different things – your goal(s), your openness, readiness and willingness to change, your commitment to completing, implementing and practising techniques or homework, and your capacity for reflection.

How often would we meet?

We would meet once a week or fortnight. I have found that this frequency leads to the greatest results. It allows time for integration, reflection, and application of learning and insights while maintaining momentum.

Do session need to be in person?

Sessions are online (usually via Zoom) so you can talk to me from the comfort of your own home. Or if you live in Wellington, you are welcome to see me in person.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

I think coaching is right for everyone! We all need people on our team. Coaching is a way for you to grow, achieve your goals, and realise your potential. ​What can be important though, is finding the right person for you to work with. The coaching relationship is based on trust – it’s crucial that you feel able to express yourself openly and safely with your coach and they understand you. I suggest giving it a go - you have nothing to lose!
