When I was going struggling to conceive and desperate to be pregnant, having a baby pretty much dominated my life, yet I totally underestimated the impact the whole experience had on me. I downplayed it, I coped, I was fine, it wasn’t a big deal. I told myself it would happen. But it didn’t.
My friends and family were there yet I felt really isolated during this time. I needed more than they were lovingly giving. It wasn’t that people weren’t there for me, it was somehow they couldn’t understand and that made it hard to really share how I was feeling. I kept so much of my experience in. I bottled it up the pain, the grief, the loss of our hopes and dreams.
I started Fertility Potentials because I never could find the right support when I was TTC. I don’t want any women struggling with infertility to feel alone. I want you to know that there is support, and there someone who understands.
Fertility Potentials is about offering women who are struggling to conceive the space they can share and release all that emotion that comes with infertility. It isn’t focused on fixing a problem or suggesting you ‘just relax’ or let go. It isn’t focused on ‘being positive’.
What it is focused on is a non-judging, safe space that allows you say what you need to express. It's focused on you finding more peace, more acceptance, and feeling more empowered on your fertility journey.
You can feel better. You don’t have to wait until you have a baby, or another baby, to start to feel good, to start living fully. You just need someone to show you the way.
